If you are interested in acquiring experience in the publishing sector, we offer opportunities to join our team on a temporary or a permanent basis. As we are a nonprofit organisation, this would be a voluntary, unpaid role.  


ASSOCIATE EDITOR POSITION

We are currently hiring for a permanent Associate Editor role. This position requires individuals with strong editing, organisational and team working skills. Backgrounds in English Literature are preferred but not essential. The role would involve working alongside primary editors across fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction and drama to select and prepare works for publication.

DRAMA EDITOR POSITION

We are currently hiring for a permanent Drama Editor role. This position requires individuals with strong editing, organisational and team working skills. Backgrounds in English Literature and Drama are preferred but not essential. The role would involve working alongside associate editors on extracts from stage and screen plays; these can consist of one or more scenes or monologues. You would also be responsible for communicating with contributors and formatting the plays ready for publication.

HOW TO APPLY

Interviews will be set up for the first week after that date. Our reading and editing period for our Autumn 2022 Issue takes place between the 14th of August and the 1st of October so we are looking for someone who is available to start working on the 14th of August. During this season, you will be supported and trained by the current editors. If this trial period goes well, you will take on the official title of Associate editor in time for the Winter 2023 Issue. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have via email.
