As these competitions have been set up to engage with our online communities, we’d like to track how many of the entrants follow us @spellbindermag on either IG or X. You will be asked to provide your social media handles below so that we can track this.

Beauty in the Mundane – A Visual Art Competition
For this year’s competition, we are looking for works of visual art that respond to the theme of ‘Beauty in the Mundane’. Art doesn’t have to be confined exclusively to considering sublime feats of nature or momentous occasions; sometimes, it’s the everyday world around us which provides the best inspiration. Has the sight of a light in the window of a distant house ever made you feel a profound melancholy, or the smell of pollen in the air transported you back to childhood? Then you just might have experienced how the ordinary can so easily become extraordinary when you look at it closely enough, and we’d love to see your artwork depicting or reflecting this experience.
There is no limitation on medium or genre – your submission will be considered as long as it is an unpublished visual artwork which responds to the theme of ‘Beauty in the Mundane’ in some way.
Maximum one entry per person is permitted. Each entry can include up to three individual pieces of art.
Your entry will be considered invalid if you do not adhere to the guidelines above and/or if you submit more than once.
Prizes
Two winners will be selected, one for general visual art (excluding photography) and one for photography. Each winner will have the choice of a paperback copy of Spellbinder of choice OR a free yearly subscription to our website with access to digital issues of Spellbinder. The winning entries will also be published on our website.
Two runners up will also be selected and mentioned on our website.
