Emmett Coleman (He/Him)
Associate Poetry Editor
September 2023 to present
Emmett Coleman is a poet from Hertfordshire currently living in Scotland, where he is about to enter the final year of his degree in English Literature at the University of St Andrews. His own poetry,
which has been featured in several publications within and external to St Andrews, often explores ideas of queerness, religion, and gender as it relates to his own trans identity. Outside of his own work he is interested the strange and the absurd, in the concept of language as a construct humans created to communicate with each other and the moments, as represented in literature, when it fails us as such. This will probably be what he writes his dissertation about. As well as poetry, he is also passionate about theatre (both musical and otherwise) and performs with a local amateur theatre group.
